Installation is about the perception of the body – the window to the reality. Our body is under constant observation. We are like sculptures in open spaces constantly observed by others. We are also constantly observed by ourselves. Deterioration of the body compared to the destroying of the sculpture.

The central image of installation the Girl with an Oar (Russian: Девушка с веслом) is an archetypal example of Socialist Realism in outdoors architecture of the Soviet Union, "an idiom of the Soviet kitsch". A symbol of Soviet erotica and totalitarianism at the same time.

The framework "Totalitarism and erotism": you are constantly observed by others, by society, or by a „big brother“; you are always „naked“ always „guilty“.
